Quiet, romantic after dinner drink (PDX)?
Celebrating 22nd anniv. tomorrow and would like to take my husband to a nice space for an after dinner cognac or single malt. We've been to Wilf's (so-so) and Jimmy Mak's (loved it) but we're unfamiliar with other Portland offerings - - is there an upscale hotel with jazz piano, no cover? We're not looking for the trendy, see & be seen scene - - in fact, the emphasis is on quiet over romantic. Thanks for suggestions!

Alu Wine Bar & Lounge in North Portland. Beautiful patio and very romantic.

re: SauceSupreme
Good list. Carlyle IMO is the most romantic/cozy of the three, and Neil (if he's working tomorrow) is one of the best bartenders in town.
23 Hoyt had live music at some point. Not sure if they still do. Not exactly quiet however.
The Heathman also has music (not sure when) in the lobby area by the staircase. It's been some time since I've been there, but I seem to recall they do it in and around the holidays.
