Eugene: What happened to the Wine Bar at Midtown/Bel AMi?

Got an email from Tim Shimmel, the fabulous guy who ran (and owned, I think?) the wine bar here, saying that as of the 17th at 5pm, he was no longer affiliated with the place. Anyone know what happened? Is he opening something somewhere else?
