New Restaurant Branford: LimeLight any info?
There is a newly lime green painted restaurant where the old Pasta Fair was just north (east?) of Su Casa on route 1. Touting itself as French Thai. A friend tells me it's supposed to open next week. Anyone know anything about it?

Is there a website where we could see a menu?

I was there Fri night. It is newly opened and there were heat issues. It was so cold that it was hard to concentrate on the food. I will go back and try it again. We had a nice bottle of wine with spring rolls, a shrimp soup (delicious), chicken wings that were the smallest I've ever seen but they were good. Chicken stir fry was very good. There are other things on the menu I want to try when I go back. Service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. I hope they will do well.

Shoreliner can you give a rough price range on entrees?

I thought prices were reasonable. I think there will soon be a menu on TakeOutTonight.com.

It's has got to be better than the pasta place that was there before that! At least it's something different and not another Italian/pizza or Mexican place.

No heat issues today at noon. We were one of two tables with customers for lunch. Basically empty.
Our waitress was very attentive and helpful but her English was barely adequate.
Our food was freshly prepared and quite tasty, but just slightly better than average, beyond that. SO had the shrimp Tom-Yum Goang and I had the chicken in coconut milk soup, Tom Kar Gai. Both soups were average. Rice was freshly made and good. We had two dishes from their lunch menu. SO had stir-fried chicken with vegetables (Thai Spicy Basil). I had pork in green curry. I tried to get chile sauce and ended up with hot green chiles in fish sauce.
We both had individual glasses of Hess wines which were quite good. They have a nice bar and a decent wine list.
On weekends, they have live entertainment starting at 10PM. This is a fairly large restaurant. The bar area we were in is only a fraction of it. It is newly redecorated but its minimalist decor is odd (for an Asian resto), with a pueblo painting on the wall of the bar area and a really beautiful, strange, rustic table in the lobby.
They say they are a French restaurant as well, but there are only four, basic French entrees on the menu, as you can see from my photo. The menu is full of misspellings, but they are kind of cute. This place might be better for dinner. I wanted to try the whole fish, "Pia Rad Prik" which should be spelled "Pla Rad Prik".
There is also "Phu-Ket in Love"! Don't even get me started on that one! It is a scallop, mussel and squid based dish.
We did not like the fact that the bartender turned on the television and disturbed our quiet and peaceful lunch. I should have asked him to turn it off....
I'd say give it a shot. Our food was freshly prepared with good ingredients. I can post the whole menu but I'm not sure how legible it will be with Chowhound's small image restrictions.

I have to say this - I think that Thai's One in Branford has excellent Thai food - better than Limelight. But I will go back to Limelight to try it again.

You could be right; I haven't been to Thai One yet. We were making a special trip to Guilford to see the photography at the Shoreline Art Alliance's "Images" Exhibition. It's free, and I highly recommend it.
I would try Lime Light again but I thought the dishes lacked depth and sophistication. I have had better at Som Siam Thai (Guilford) or the Terrace, in Hamden.
Here are more pics of the menu. I hope they are legible. Chow has a resizing software that is incomprehensible and messes with the image quality as it resizes. I can't seem to out-guess it.

Those pics of their menu aren't legible, so I'll try something different
