[PDX] Teardrop Lounge
I've always been a fan of Teardrop, dating waaay back to when I first started visiting Portland. I got the Teardrop rec here on CH, so for that I'm ever grateful. It continues to be part of my usual cocktail rotation that cycles between them, Ten-01 and Clyde Common. (I'm patiently waiting for Beaker & Flask to open up, too.)
My favorite cocktails here are invariably the classic stuff like the Martinez (a pre-cursor to the Martini, following the Jerry Thomas recipe from the 1880's) and the Last Word, as well as their in-house creations like the Smoke Signals (boubron+sherry+pecan syrup+lemon+smoked ice) and the Venial Sin (tequila+mezcal+maraschino+yellow chartreuse).
And the food here isn't bad either. I'm a big fan of the lamb kefta with harissa, and one of these days I'm going to try one of their seasonal risottos.
By the way, no more Tiki Tuesdays at Teardrop Lounge, at least not this year. With the weather starting to turn, it makes sense to shed the monthly promotion, so here's to hoping that it returns next year.

Wish they would open a branch up here in Seattle! Had the pleasure of tasting their house Amer Picon on my last visit to Portland, awesome. Closest we have here is (David at) Spur bar and (Jamie at) Tini Biggs bar.
