<content>S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night! Well, with apologies to the Bay City Rollers, November 1 is the RSVP date for the inaugural Los Angeles Chow Fiesta.

Sample food from across the vast LA region, both home cooked and from faraway restaurants you might never haul your tuckus to. All these tasty eats come to you; how great is that? Bring your tuckus and a dish to pass to the West LA venue on Saturday Nov. 8 between noon and 4pm

So what's on the menu? As of today, we have 33 hounds attending and this partial list for your consideration:
Banh mi from Lee's Sandwiches
Home smoked baby back ribs
Malibu Kitchen's pulled pork and a home made white bean salad
Espresso brownies
Jerk pork or chicken
Home made cochinita pibil
Pineapple upside down cake
Homemade cold sesame noodles
Homemade chicken w/cashew nut curry
Clementine cupcakes
Hong Kong Low Deli's dim sum
Onion pie
Coconut milk ice cream (homemade)
Thai desserts
Kimchee from Typhoon, Meatballs from Lawry's; hummus
Mezze platter from Carnival
Dolmades
Lamb meatballs w/ Moroccan date salsa

The Chow Fiesta is a fundraising potluck to support our online community. It's $25 per adult, free for kids under 5, and $10 for ages 5-15. Please RSVP and pay by *THIS SATURDAY*. Send an email to committee chair Sandra W at dollparts0@aol.com and you'll receive an evite with more information.

What else? The LA hounds are raising additional funds by holding a cookbook silent auction. Do you have a food-related book you like but don't use much anymore? Why not donate it to the Chow Fiesta and pass it on to some like-minded hound who'll probably like it, too? Hey, come to meet all these like-minded hounds and break bread with us!
