I'm heading out to Xalapa, Veracruz, for a couple days and would like to have a "nice" dinner with one of my students. I once received recommendations from a local and have somehow misplaced my list. I'm hoping you guys can help out.

Here's what I already know: I love La Sopa and so does my student, but we want to try something new. I've been to Postodoro, Nico's, La Casa de Mama, and La Casona del Beaterio.

I don't mind going somewhere out of the way, it doesn't have to be Mexican food (although it's a plus), seafood suggestions would be appreciated, and we can take a taxi with no problem.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Deeb,
I edited a big feature on Xalapa last year - I hope you will find lots of good ideas in there.

This looks really helpful. Thank you! I just wish I had time to go to the cheese town and then on to the ham town - brilliant.
