Best DC lunch cart?

What are the best DC lunch carts?

One of my personal faves is the Korean cart at 14 and L St, NW. They serve up delicious bulgogi and bibimbap for about $7. The meal also comes with three types of lightly pickled vegetables: carrots, bean sprouts, and what I think is pea leaves.

  1. The tacos from the "On the Fly" cart at 8th and H, NW.

Frankly, I thought those tacos were very, very boring. I so wanted to love them, and perhaps the hype was just too much, but the experience failed to come close to expectations.

    2. I like the Halal Sausage and Pita from Delle and Campbell.

Is their cart still at 14th and G streets NW? When was the last time someone saw their cart? I heard rumor it wasn't there anymore.

It's been at H and 8th next to the On the Fly one and also a cajun one -- at least they were all there a couple weeks ago. Block up from Portrait Gallery. On the Fly was selling pasta, btw, when I was there.

I wish they'd stop moving. 14/G, then I heard they were at Mass/N Cap, now 8/H.

is it the vendor or the District? either way that's gonna kill their business.

I walked by today in the hopes they'd be out--no luck. No vendors were anywhere near 8th and H, NW.

        2. OK...I know it's not DC but I love the Pupatella here in Ballston!

Third! It is so good!!! It is the best pizza in our area. Makes me wish I was home on weekdays more. Can't wait to try the Middle Eastern cart now too!

          1. Ooops--and I forgot to mention the burrito cart at 17 and K. Great, huge, inexpensive burritos. Try them!
