Third Craft!

The Garganelli with Funghi Trifolati at Babbo is awesome!

There is a mushroom festival going on at Brasserie 8 1/2. I haven't tried so I can't attest to its quality, but thought you might be interested.

Edit: Also forgot. It is matsutake season now. A lot of Japanese restaurants will have matsutake, like grilled fresh matsutake at Aburiya, rice with matsutake in clay pot, dobin mushi with matsutake, etc. It's heaven!

There is a great dish I've seen served in several restaurants recently, polenta with a fricasse of wild mushrooms. Scarpetta serves it, as well as Alto on East 53rd. Both are wonderfully rich and satisfying.
