Winery with restaurant

I'm interested in finding a winery that also has a restaurant on site. Is there any place in the extended Baltimore area? Even up 83 toward PA would work. I would say within an hour drive. I look forward to your recs!

You might be looking in the wrong direction.

Best bet in my book would be Barboursville in VA. Few of the local MD/NOVA winerys have dining except on a "special event" basis. A bit over your one hour limit, Barboursville is down US 29 S of DC, so about 2+ hours from Balto. They do have a consistantly good CH friendly restaurant on site. Look'em, up on the internet. Very good wines as well. I doubt you will be disappointed, and will find the extra drive well worthwile.

Thanks for your input. I will keep that in mind for myself. For this particular outing it's for a company/department "fun day", so it is a bit far for us to fit in.

A lot of Virginia wineries have working relationships with caterers who can provide meals for an event such as yours. The one I'm most familiar with is Winery at La Grange in Haymarket, which definitely does this sort of thing.

I know of one in Bucks County PA. It's out of my range for this outing.
