NOLA dinner and College Football
Three couples will be in town for a weekend.
Galatoire's on Friday night.
Wide open for Saturday.
Any ideas on where we can go Saturday night for some good food and college football?
Thanks,
Joe

Oh, your weekend sounds like absolute heaven: NOLA, Galatoire's, and college football. Divine.
I know there's a good sports bar in the hotel that Canal dead-ends into - is it a Hilton? or Marriott? It's close to Harrah's... a ton of TV's and is very popular.
Please enjoy - and be sure to cheer for the Longhorns while you're watching on Saturday. Hook 'em, Horns! Enjoy wonderful NOLA.

The Westin Canal Place is at the end of Canal. But if you are thinking of the Harrah's hotel, there is Gordon Biersch next door at 200 Poydras. While you could do a lot better with food options in that area, their bar does lend itself to watching sports on TV. You could eat elsewhere before or after, and then watch the game in their bar.
Other eateries: Cochon, Riomar, LaBoca, Ruth's Chris, Grand Isle, August, Besh Steakhouse, Cafe Adelaide.

If you want to come Uptown, Cooter Browns and Brunos are decent places to watch the game, have a drink, and eat some decent bar food. They both get crowded, however.
Hook em horns? Please. Take that to the Austin board.
