where to go for birthday dinner

Hi,

I'm looking for a good place for dinner in the Boston suburbs, metrowest, preferably. My guests and I are from the Newton/Brookline area and enjoy American food - steaks, chops, chicken, seafood - and Italian cuisine, not too pricey ($$$$), but entrees in the $15.00 to $25.00 range is fine as is a la carte for appetizers, sides, desserts. Parking or valet is a must and we need a place that would accept a reservation for Saturday night for 6 people. Also, a place that is accomodating as I have a hard time with dairy. Any suggestions would be most welome. Thanks!

    Thanks for your suggestions, but I was thinking not so much city as out in the burbs, such as Waltham, Wayland, Subbury, Natick, Framingham...... out that way. We've been to La Morra in Brookline; very good, but a little too close to home. I appreciate your quick replies.

        The Blue Room in Kendall Square and DBar in Dorchester could fit your needs.

          EVOO on the Somerville/Cambridge line may fit the bill. They have "American Eclectic" type cuisine that usually offers something to everyone. Seating for 6 shouldn't be a problem if you make a reservation. The entrees may be bumping up against the $25 limit but you should be ok. Special orders are ok also. Free parking next door too.
