Help with pizza in Philly

dani0622 Oct 17, 2008 06:42 AM

Hi everyone,

I have a meeting this weekend near Philly's Airport at the Mariott (8800 Bartram Ave.). We need to order some pizza for the luncheon. I'm a Jersey girl so I need some help figuring out where to get some good pizza. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I would try Taconelli's or Marra's. Tacconelli's is much better, but you need to call in advance and I am not sure they do lunch.

Try Celebre's at Packer Park in South Philly: 215-467-3255. Next to Tacconellii's they're my favorite pizza spot in Philadelphia. While everything I've had from there has been quite good, the pizzaz pie is really tasty. Secret topping is American cheese. (Apologies to fellow Chowhounds. Occasionally I do eat processed foods.)

Some people think their crust tends to be a bit soggy. You can order well done or crispy if that's what you like.
