per se, le bernardin, or jean-georges

We'll be visiting NYC to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Our trip is still a few months away so I have time to play the reservations game. For this once in a lifetime birthday, which 3-star would you suggest? We both love food - all food - but also appreciate presentation and service. A tasting menu with wine pairings would be a real plus.

  1. I've never been to Jean-Georges, but love both Le Bernardin and Per Se. I've never had seafood as good as Le Bernardin and would name that as my favorite. But you really can't go wrong either way.

    1. I haven't been to Le Bernardin or Per Se, but went to Jean Georges for my birthday recently and it was spectacular. The food was wonderful and the service was perfect.

      1. I've been to all three restaurants, and I would choose Per Se if cost is no issue. You won't forget your experience.
