help with rec. for birthday dinner

My parents are coming to town for my dad's birthday--had intended to take him to Boka but they are closed for a private party that day. Should be something that has a decent amount of seafood or vegetarian, not too loud, maybe new in the last year or so? I've searched the threads but am a little confused about pricing--our budget doesn't stretch to Alinea, etc. Neighborhood not imp. Any thoughts?
