Need St Pete Beach Dinner Recs
I have been to The Pearl about a year ago and liked it. Is it still good, and do they still offer a tapas menu?
I would also appreciate feedback on the following: Cafe Luna, Black Palm, and Bella Habana. Other recommendations along these lines are also welcome. I'm not a seafood eater, so I need something that has a good non-seafood menu as well.
I don't know if we will have a car or not, but if we do, Ceviche in St. Pete looks like a great option.
We enjoyed Cafe Luna last time we went.. I have heard Fetishes is excellent. As for Ceviche, I am not a fan, the food isn't bad just sort of average tapas. But it is tragically hip, very crowded and the service isn't great. Also someone mentioned Mad Fish in SPB and really liked it but I have a heard the opposite as well, If someone has been let us know.
Fetishes is wonderful and has the best crab cakes I've ever tasted (huge lumps of crab, no filler.) The Black Palm in Pass-A-Grille has wonderful small plates and ceviches (although I agree that Ceviche in downtown st. pete does tapas better--but is not on the beach.) Best grouper sandwich is at The Undertow and my favorite fish spread, spicy beer battered fries and fishbowl full of rum punch with an intercoastal setting has to be Sea Critters. Old florida atmosphere (and no credit cards) would be Woody's. These would be my suggestions going from most to least sophisticated...depending on whether you want to change out of flip flops and shower or not.:-)
