Mio, Pangea or Legume?

friends coming into town this weekend. Which is the best bet atmosphere wise?

    Too late for dinner w/ your friend, but really like the atmosphere and FOOD at Legume... of course, it depends what sort of atmosphere you're looking for. If you like cozy, bistro, Legume is excellent.

      Depends on what kind of atmosphere you are looking for. If you are looking for quiet and relaxed (I think kind of stuffy as well) then Mio is the place. If you are looking for sort of loud, vibrant neighborhood bistro then Legume is the place. They are opposite in terms of atmosphere. The atmosphere of Pangea is more like Mio, but I would not recommend it as a place to take friends coming in from out of town.

        I have not been to any of these restaurants. (Mio is on the to try list). However, I was given a scathing review of Pangea from some family about a month ago. Then I was given a wonderful review by a friend about a week ago. So at the least I think it may be a bit inconsistent. However, Pangea's Shadyside location lends itself to drinks, etc. close by after dinner if that is part of the plan.
