Sandwich/Coffee in Saskatoon

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a place to get a soup/sandwich/salad/coffee in Saskatoon? I'm interested in freshly made food, and with a nice atmosphere, like Heartland Cafe in Calgary, or 13th Avenue Coffee in Regina. Not interested in places with pre-made soups from a mix.
Thanks!

I humbly suggest Museo. I went there on a more coffee-oriented visit, but I do know that they have made-from-scratch soup and paninis. Everything is prepared on-site.

That said, they probably have the best coffee in Saskatoon, if not all of Saskatchewan. Jimmy, one of their baristas, placed 2nd in the Prairie Barista Regionals. He's actually at the Canadian Championships competing right now.

    Here's the site: http://www.museocoffee.com/

We were actually at the Mendel gallery at one point to see some art, but never did stop in at the cafe. Next time for sure!

This is a post you might like to look at. Off the beaten track.

I'll have to try it out the next time I'm in Saskatoon!

The answer is undoubtedly Calories on Broadway. For coffee alone, across the street and down a ways, Broadway Roastery.

Another choice would be Traeger's Bakery in Cumberland Square, not so much for the coffee but the sandwiches made from fresh, fresh bakery. And have a Russian pretzel for dessert or snack. They are my favourite baked treat and they don't even have chocolate on them.

Actually we had dinner the night before at Calories, so we were looking for someplace different :)

We ended up going to Cafe Vivant (33rd St and Avenue E). Good soup/sandwich, and a vegerarian section on the menu. Seems like a nice eclectic little neighbourhood around 33rd St. They have a website: http://www.cafevivant.ca/
