Market Basket: Lobster $3.99/lb

At least according to SD. I haven't confirmed this myself.

  1. There was an article in the Globe the other day about lobster. The price has really fallen. Lobstermen spend more catching it than they do when they sell it.

Oil price dropped 40% so what's wrong with lobster price also dropping 40%? I wonder why the lobster price at Bj's has never dropped below $8.95.

BJ's sells hard shell, MB soft shell.

Bj's sells live lobsters? I have never seen live lobsters sold at Bj's? What Bj's store sells live lobsters?

          1. re: buffet king

            The one in Randolph does.

They sell the most ginourmous lobsters I have ever seen.

            Truly monsterous. But that's BJ's.

I believe the Framingham store does as well.

    2. Yep. I saw it today at the Danvers store.

      1. Note to self...............add to tomorrow's shopping list! Thanks for the heads up.

I was in the Somerville Market Basket today. They kept advertising the lobster over the loud speaker. The guy was saying things like, "this is an unadvertised special, today only, no rain checks." Hope the lobsters will still be there for you tomorrow. Good Luck.

Oh gosh me too... But the Reading store has had these so-called "In House Specials" for more than a week now. Wish me luck!

I was at the same Market Basket last week, and they were making the same announcement over the loudspeaker.

          2. And MB steams them for free too! Quick easy yummy dinner!!

            1. Still $3.99 at MB as of this morning in Danvers, FYI.
