Ch. Calon-Segur 1996 - how's it drinking?
My wife received a single bottle of Chateau Calon-Segur 1996 for a holiday gift a few years back, and we have been waiting for a proper occasion to drink it. I was considering using it this November for something, but according to the Robert Parker blurb I read, he suggested that it won't be ready until 2010 or beyond. I have the bottle properly stored in a wine refrigerator, so I am not in any real hurry. At the same time, if anyone has had one recently and thinks they're ready, I'd be curious to know what you thought, and if, in your opinion, I would still be better off holding it.
