Accessible Restaurant - Queen/University

I will be having dinner with a friend tomorrow evening in the Queen/University area. She is in a wheelchair so I am looking for a restaurant the is accessible. She is not a big fan of Indian food but I think anything else goes. I am hoping for a nice atmosphere where we can chat quietly that is in the mid-price range. Any suggestions?

  1. Nota Bene is accessible through the office building's main entrance...depends on what you call mid-price...the house burger with frites is $19 IIRC...lovely room...Marimba!

    1. Ginger just opened up a new location at Queen and University. I can't remember seeing if there where steps though? Ho Su for Japanese at John and Queen might fit your pre-reqs. Peter Pan is quite nice too. It is wheelchair accessible I'm fairly certain. I live in the neighborhood and other than the marvelous Indian, the area is not that great for resto's. If Baldwin St. isn't too far, I'd bet there's more of what your looking for over there.

      1. NOW magazine's accessibility list is very reliable. Just plug in your request for barrier free, price, and neighbourhood... badda bang. Other mag's, such as Toronto Life, don't take washroom accessibility into consideration. Very inconsiderate of them.

Thanks Googs! I will check it out. I have run into issues before with washrooms being downstairs or there being "only 2 steps". As you said...very inconsiderate.
