Out with the old - new kitchen - prep bowls anyone

I guess this is a subjective question...

Kitchen has gotten some R&R lately, and my older glassware has gone out with the R&R.
Most of my previous prep bowls were just clear glass.

I'm curious what do ya'll use for prep bowls ?
Call me a sucker for all things pretty but I think Rosle makes some nice some stainless ones in small and small/medium sizes that I came across...

Just short of the chopping block, and my 4qt saute pan & dutch oven, prep bowls are such a staple in the kitchen I use everyday.....

Though I generally buy for utility, not decorative value, my two favorite mixing bowls are both ceramic and perhaps 60 years old or more (inherited, not pourchased). Buying today, I'd still go for ceramic. But it's purely a personal choice.

I find the American prep bowls to be too small for many things I do in the kitchen, like marinating meats, or mixing up fillings for dumplings. I use them only for baking (mixing dry ingredients before adding to butter/sugar). So I use big plastic tubs purchased at Asian markets for a few dollars each. When they start looking worn out, they have second lives for bathing the dog, doing laundry, and washing the car.

There's a recent thread about mixing bowls. Most of us preferred stainless steel, but some also like melamine (lighter and quiet), and ceramic.

Yeah, I prefer stainless prep bowls too; don't care who makes them. I like the lighter weight over the glass. Also, they don't break.
