San Francisco Bay Area

Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in the SF Bay Area (including Berkeley, Oakland, Napa, Sonoma, Marin, and San Jose)

Suggestions for post-theater, Downtown Berkeley, Sun night

We're seeing a show in downtown Berkeley Sunday evening. We're not available to eat before the 7 pm show, so we'll be looking for a light dinner around 9:30 pm.

Any ideas in downtown Berkeley (or easily drivable) around that time? The best idea I currently have is Cesar.

We'd rather not spend a fortune, but are open to a range of price points/cuisines/levels of formality. We don't eat meat, but do eat fish.

    1. I'd go to Cesar. It's not far away and it's light (tapas) and the menu is flexible...but not cheap, The kitchen stays open until 11 p.m.

Berkeley closes up sorta early on a school night. Everything else open at that time is college town, pub-like, Jupiter's, Mel's, Blake's, Au Coquelet, etc.

The other option is Fonda on Solano but that's a bit far.
