Mexican Restaurant in SoNo

Does anyone realize we are missing a Mexican place up here in South Norwalk, CT??? I swear if I had any idea how to start up a restaurant and the credit markets finally thawed out, I would open a Mexican restaurant on Washington St. in a heartbeat. Great Burritos, Fajitas, Guacamole and Margaritas. Who doesn't love that? Thoughts?

I'll agree with you about El Acapulo's quality. You still sound like you want just another commercial AmeriMex combination plate joint. Take a look across the bridge in Liberty Square for a very real place. There are others not far away.

El Acapulco is very good, right in the heart of SoNo. Also very good is Los Cabos, near Stew's on Westport Ave. A little less authentic, but very tasty, is Rio on CT Ave.

Are you guys kidding me?!?!?!? El Acapulco is a disgusting joke. I've never seen more than 2 people in there at a time...and you know those must be first-timers because there's no way someone would ever go back there. I went once and will never go back. It was terrible. Nothing was fresh. The cheese on my burrito was packaged Kraft cheese. I've been to Rio and that was pretty good. A normal Mexican restaurant. I think SoNo is begging for something like that...maybe a little less tacky though.

Are you serious? Not only has El Acapulco been on Washington Street for at least 20 years, but there are great, authentic Mexican restaurants all over town.
