PYO Farm + Restaurant near TO?
Hi everyone,
Strange request ... we're meeting up with family tomorrow and planning to head out for lunch. Our group includes a couple of toddlers who are currently infatuated with farms, so I thought it would be nice to drop by a pick-your-own farm for some apples and/or pumpkins.
It would be nice to combine the two events ... Does anyone know of a farm that has a restaurant either on-site or nearby?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Applewood Farm at McCowan and Stouffville is open this weekend for apple-picking. Wagon rides, corn maze and petting zoo for the kids. For the adults -- a winery, yum!

Nearby restaurant -- haven't been to this place in years but the Corner House restaurant in Stouffville is good place to go (unlesss it's changed drastically, which I doubt).

Just a quick update on Applewood Farm. I was hoping to take the family to pick apples this weekend, but when I checked the website it stated that the apples are all picked out for the year. So, unfortunately, only ready-picked ones are available for purchase.
However, the pumpkins are ready! :)

Thanks for the info JamieK & homebaker. I think we'll still give it a try ... 3-year-olds aren't the most efficient apple-pickers anyway. I think a long walk and some pumpkins would be more than enough.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, since you'll be there, drop by the beekeeper directly across the main road. We haven't been this year yet but if the gentleman is still plying his trade, you can get some fresh honey while you're in the area!
And -if- you're really lucky, he may even be able to show the little kiddoes the actual honeycomb screens. It's worth a shot!
