Good dinner with live music in CT ?

looking for somewhere to go with 11 of us for my Mom's 75th birthday, good food (any kind!) , comfortable seating and live music- could be a jazz combo, or anything really. The closer to New Haven the better!

Crave on Tuesday nights, I believe. Two-three piece group, some acoustic guitar. Latin jazzy stuff. Can be a little loud depending on where you sit. Call for info: (203) 735-3300
    (Ansonia)
Be sure and tell them there are 11 of you!

If you're willing to take the drive up to Hartford, I like Black Eyed Sallys. Food is southern, crawfish, bbq, jambalaya etc and the music is always good. It's a younger/hip crowd, but I'm sure your mom would have a blast.

Try Johnny Ray's in Milford. I haven't been there myself, but I've heard good things about it from people who've gone.

While I would call the food mediocre italian there is live jazz on Saturday nights at the Twisted Vine
in Derby. You have to be in the downstairs dining room
