Just looking for a good suggestion for tonight.

I am heading out for dinner tonight after work. I am down on the Esplanade, have a car and am willing to drive to many of the nearby hoods (yorkville, king/queen west, college, danforth village - or just stay in the downtown area).

We were thinking of maybe caren's wine and cheese or boba. Also considered Kalendar.

Nothing is doing it. I can't search this board anymore for ideas on my own.

So, where would you go, tonight, for a big meal (i went to the gym today!)?? Let's say you aren't a fan of asian cuisine...

any help?

Head west on Lakeshore to Cafe du Lac.

Been to Boba twice and really enjoyed it. Also in the Yorkville area and recommended already is Flow - if you have been to Boba and want to try something different then go with Flow. Opus on Prince Arthur is always good if $$$$ is ok. Trevor on Wellington if you want to stay close to home.

If you are looking for a "big meal," Trevor might not be the best choice because IMO, they are more visually appealing than "gut buster." May I suggest Weezie instead? See the recent review by BokChoi. The macaroni and cheese really is fantastic!

Coquine on Yonge and Manor; decent bistro French in a nice environment.
Flow in Yorkville is good for well-prepared higher end.
Table 17 in Leslieville is also good fun, very good food.

The stilton burger at Caren's is fab (especially if you already hit the gym).

              How about Terroni on Adelaide?

I say it's a beautiful night for strolling the Distillery District - maybe Tappo or Boiler House?

Perhaps try Weezie's at King and Power - well loved by Chowhounds.

Was at Weezie's last night and it was excellent, as reported by other hounds. It is such a pleasure to have food that is well cooked, well seasoned and hot. Not complicated but done well. Make a reservation, they were booked solid last night.
