Any recent news on the Creek in Purchase?

We are going to the opening of the Westchester Philharmonic this weekend with two other couples, one of whom is very picky about food. We want to be close to the theatre - anyone eaten at the Creek recently? It has a terrible (15) food rating in Zagat. Any other suggestions within 15 minute drive? Greenwich, Port Chester?

  1. Trattoria Vivolo in Harrison serves robust Italian food out of a vintage diner. It is across the street from Harrison Metro-North station...just a few minutes by car but a good reasonably priced option.
Marc Charles Steakhouse in Armonk is new and quite good too though a bit pricier...the bar menu is reasonalble though...

    1. Sorry, I'm not sure where to tell you to go, but I can tell you not to go to the Creek. Ate there about a year ago and it was truly awful - a diner would be better.

      1. Try Mirage in Port Chester. It's close and the food is nice. You can have anything from a light meal to a full meal.

        1. Thanks for the tips. I think we will end up at Aberdeen in White Plains. We love Cafe Mirage in PC, I've never been to Vivolo - any relation to Vivolo on 74th St. in NYC?
