Right off of Rt. 1, past Edison is Fresco in Milltown. Very good BYOB, if you want to drink.

The only other place I could think of to have a business lunch is that Skylark Diner. As much as I think they place is average, I suppose if you can't find anything else, this place might work. It sells alcohol, too if you need a strong drink. ha ha!

It is right on Rt. 1 North in Edison

Thanks--Fresco could definitely work. Any other ideas out there? Thanks!

We don't like taking clients to Fresco because it's BYOB.

Il Castillo in Woodbridge on Main St. (east of Rt. 1)

Also, Novita in Metuchen is appropriate (http://novitanj.com/index.html)

FYI- there is no "1/9" in Edison, the two highways split north of Edison in Woodbridge, so if you're searching for an address or location, it's simply "Rt. 1" (technically "US Highway Rt. 1" I suppose) after that. For non-chain eating, you're going to be better off looking for places on the parallel Rt. 27 (aka "Lincoln Highway") .
