Place for Holiday Lunch in South Bay for 75 People?
Our company is looking for a good place in the South Bay for our holiday luncheon. It needs to accommodate about 75 people, provide food, and give us some room to perform some skits. A unique venue with an activity would be cool, too, if possible, though it's *definitely* not necessary.
I don't know what your budget is but one of my favorite meetings/luncheons was held at the Mountain Winery. Sales dept. held quarterly meeting in the morning followed by sit down lunch with different wines for every course. Food was fabulous! Of course this was loooong ago (approx. 14yrs) when X company's sales department had an almost limitless budget:-)
Il Fornaio has rooms that accommodate large groups. I'm not 100% sure but I think the Tech Museum does events and they have the new Leonardo exhibit. It might be worth looking into.
Support your local museums, I would recommend going to The Tech Museum or the SJ Museum of Art. Both have excellent on-site caterers or you can choose your own.
I don't know the budget but I think we have a bit to spend. I should mention that there's a lot of boozin' at these events, and by a lot I mean A LOT.

And let me just say again there really doesn't *have* to be an activity, too. Regular big restaurant rooms are good, too. I just don't know of any.
Parcel 104 has banquet rooms in the hotel that can accomodate groups larger than 40.
Tied House Cafe & Brewery has an outdoor beer garden. I know the Mountain View beer garden seats up to 100. Not sure about the San Jose location, but the website said they expanded their banquet facilities.
Morton's the Steakhouse has a private room for 80
The Plumed Horse has a private room that seats 80.
Paragon Restaurant and Bar has private rooms accomodating 10 - 250.
