Prix Fixe/Chef's Menu

First post here:

Looking for some of the great menus & values in NY for an evening free of choosing off a menu.

Wondering what some of your recommendations are for a multi-course (at least 3/4) meal that isn't extravagantly priced (>$150) per person with wine. Hoping to take my guy out (he's a big eater) without breaking the bank.

Manhattan centric, svp.

Open to all flavors. He's fond of omakase, but we could do something totally different too. If you could pass on the restaurant name, rough location, and maybe a taste of what the chef's menu looks like, I"d be really grateful.
