Forest Hills Happy Hour Suggestions?

NYMike Oct 6, 2008 12:47 PM

Anyone have recommendation for any Happy Hour places in Forest Hills. Perhaps a place that has 2 for 1 drink specials and to get some good eats to boot?

Anyone know about Bonfire Grill, Irish Cottage, St. James (on Metro), 5 Burros or any other place not listed that has a happening happy hour?

I need a drink..

I can't tell you much about the happy hours, but I did want plug the Guiness pints at the Irish Cottage. They pull a nice pint - even leave a shamrock in the head. Other than that, I generally see lots of folks outside 5 Burros and the adjacent bar during the happier hours of the day.

By Forest Hills standards, its good. The burgers are decent as are the fish and chips. I haven't ventured much further into the menu, but they're a reliable alternative to some of the other restaurants in the neighborhood. Plus, they get the edge over some of the competition on account of their pints.

Dirty Pierres is good, nice crowd and good burgers if you stay. Jade early not bad but gets ridiculous as the night goes on. Bonfire Grill is good for a cocktail but the food stinks.
