temperature limit for oven-safe casserole dish?

i am baking something at a quite high temperature, and plan to use an oven-safe glass casserole dish. is there an upper limit at which these dishes crack?

  1. I was using pyrex for the no knead bread recipe (500 degrees) and wrote to the manufacturers about the temperature. They said they recommend you not use their ware at that temperature. Hope that helps since I don't know what type of glass you have or what temperature...

    1. Things change, I know, but it used to be most "oven proof" stuff was good up to 400F
