Where can I get good calamari and tuna tartare?

Somewhere around downtown or South Congress would be preferred. Thanks!

My fav tatare was at Whole Foods seafood counter, not sure if it is seasonal but have not seen it on the menu recently

I had Trio's tuna tartare appetizer last week and was really enjoyed it! You've asked about 2 of my favorites, and I agree about Eddie V's...good on both fronts. Taverna has a fun calamari appetizer with other things thrown in w/ the calamari (veggies, etc.). Yum!

haven't tried it myself since i'm a veggie-head, but my brother swears by the Tuna Tartare at Vespaio. they've got calamari there too, but don't know anything about it...

I second the recommendation for Vespaio. I've had both the calamri and the Tartare there and can say that they are both very good.

Another vote on the tuna tartare at Vespaio. can't recommend their calamari.

Also you might try Roy's Hawaiian.

The best fried calamari I've ever had (including places in Venice, Italy) is at Asti's.

Eddie V's does a good calamari and tuna too I believe
