Staying at Georgian Hotel

I'd appreciate any advice for dining around the Georgian Hotel... I have reservations one night at Anisette but need suggestions for a Sunday night birthday dinner. Thinking along the lines of a funky fun place that serves steak. Chez Jay, perhaps? Any other thoughts?

Will you have a car? I'd highly recommend heading up Wilshire to Wilshire Restaurant.

In Santa Monica, there are a lot of other options, not sure how funky...
JIraffe is close to your hotel.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy drinks and the sunset, try the Penthouse at the Huntley, but don't stay for dinner.
The Lobster is close to your hotel, but foodwise I think you can do better, unless you want to be on the beach/water.
There's also Capo which is expensive, and kind of Californian Italian
Similar to Chez Jay, there's also the Galley

If you want to head down Main St., there's Chinois, which is kind of fun

Capo sounds interesting but is it more impressive looking than their website pics? JiRaffe looks good but would it be too similar to Anisette?

Hold up! Wilshire looks fantastic. We'll have a car but would rather cab it after wine drinking.

JiRaffe isn't similar to Anisette at all.

But, at the moment I'd pick Wilhire and try to get the patio. Cab shouldn't be too pricey anyways.
