My roomie and I spent 45 minutes driving around Gretna tonight trying to find Pho Tau Bay . . . we ended up going to Nine Roses instead and had a great meal, but I still want to get banh mi soon. I tried to use Google maps, but now I see that MapQuest lists a wildly different address for the same location. Also, none of the people we stopped to ask knew where it was. Could someone on here please post directions from the bridge?

That's funny...Nine Roses is lots harder to find than PTB. PTB is located in a down-at-the-heels strip mall oriented at right angles to the expressway on its riverside. Driving to the Westbank from NOLA, you need to exit at Stumph. Keep going west on the non-elevated expressway....look for a u-shaped shopping area on your right, maybe 1/4 mile or slightly more west of Stumph. Signs are on the storefronts, not on a marquee out front. PTB is toward the rear of the strip mall on your left.

This strip mall also houses a defunct bowling alley, a locksmith, a jewelry store, a karaoke machine/audio shop, and a sign for a viet grocery store that is "opening soon" (for at least a year).

Now that I think about it, it's in the same strip mall as Barry Manufacturing, isn't it? Funny how I can't recall, despite going there at least once every two weeks for years and years.

Celeste,

You are my hero! Unfortunately, I was using the Google Map, which placed it mysteriously on the corner of the expressway and Terry Parkway, on the south side. We must not have gone far enough up the other side to see it . . . but we still want to try it! Thanks for your specificity!
