With Kids in Quebec City

markadamowicz Oct 4, 2008 05:10 AM

Taking a road trip up to Quebec City next weekend with the family (we have 3 girls - 3 years old and almost 7 year old twins). We will arirve Saturday around 1pm and leave Monday around 2pm.

Looking for some family friendly (no chains) eating tips BUT we are all adventurous/non fancy/off the beaten path-ish. (the kids had jellyfish in Boston's Chinatown last weekend for instance....)

And if anyone wants to give me some suggestions of things to do, that would be great (you can email me at madamowicz@hotmail.com if you want to keep it off the board).

We will be staying at Le Concorde....

Thanks in advance.

There are 2 creperies on Rue St. Jacque. The one on the left side, going down hill is student oriented, fun and cheap. At the bottom of the hill, on the left, is a place frequented by journalists, sorry I can't remember the names, where we dined on veal, rabbit, horse, and steak tartare. They also have all the mussels you can eat special. There is a zoo right outside of town.

        It's spelled St-Jacques, if that helps. :-)
