Sushi Akira in rockland? Is it really as good as Wasabi?

Someone told me that there is an excellent sushi place across from the Nanuet mall that was either owned by Wasabi or was similar. Looking for a great sushi meal tomorrow evening.

You are thinking of Sakana, which is accross from the Nanuet mall. It was orignally opened by the current owner of Wasabi and in my opinion is just as good and less expensive. I highly recommend this place.

I 2nd that....while Sakana does not have the same atmosphere as Wasabi, the food is top notch. They recently expanded so there's more room than before. Highly recommend.
