muffelatas

Central Grocery is closed on Sunday. Where can I find a muffelata this coming Sunday?

    Johnny's Poboys (511 St. Louis in the French Quarter) does a muff. I can't vouch for the quality, as I'm always drawn to the roast beef there. I can say I've never had anything bad at Johnny's. They're open seven days a week, but they close right after lunch - 3 or 4 p.m.

      Will you be in NO just on Sunday? If you are there on Saturday or Monday, I would suggest that you get your muffuletta fix at NorJoe's in Metairie. Really good !

        We'll be in NO on Saturday and Sunday, with an early flight out on Monday. We need to pick up a sandwich on Sunday to take home (but we'll probably eat it in the Atlanta airport during our layover on Monday). Central Grocery's muffs will hold up for a day. I hate to chance a problem with a two-day old sandwich; hence the need for something open on Sunday.
