Seven Stars Inn Phoenixville

Anyone ever go? The website makes me drool, but the prices scare me!

  1. Amy, it's known mainly for enormous portions of red meat. Especially the old fashioned prime rib. More for quantity than any flair or finesse in cuisine, but if that's what you're craving, it's there.

    1. I've been there one time, and that was several years ago. We went specifically for prime rib. In fact, it used to be that if you wanted prime rib, you had to let them know when you made your reservation. It's a huge slab of beef that's served.

      1. My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day there and were impressed. The prices match the quality of food and portions you get. I think it's well worth the money. It's an old historic inn, so make sure to arrive before your reservation to have drink at the bar and have some of their housemade pub cheese and cracker.

        1. What's nice though, is that they let you share the prime rib since it is such a huge piece. It's $9 extra, however both people get their own salad & side for the extra$. Also, the crab stuffed mushrooms are really good. I would recommend reserving the PR with your reservation, they do run out.

          1. Portions it is. But my ravenous carnivore GF was happier than I'd ever seen her when they presented her with the 4 lb. slab of prime rib with horseradish sauce. Its also the only place I know where you can get a 24 oz. lobster tail but, if paying that price ($100), I'd rather do the whole lobster with some great claw meat attached!
