local seasonal creative in Sacramento!

I'm a chef coming to town from Seattle for sisters bday and of course got job of selecting restaurant. Looking for local seasonal creative moderately priced for 5 in Sacramento area (they live in something elk) will also be in san fran and wine country later in the trip so must visit places always appreciated!

In Elk Grove, Silva's Sheldon Inn is good, but it's probably more old-school than what you have in mind. For creative, you're going to have to hop on the freeway and head downtown. Either the Waterboy or Mulvaneys Building & Loan will fit the bill nicely.

Don't know what moderately priced means for you, but Waterboy is the place you need to go. It's downtown, a bit from where your sisters live (Elk Grove).
