The review on signonsandiego.com says it is open until 3am daily.

But Faim is looking for downtown restaurants, and Golden Dragon is in Hillcrest.

My bad. When you live in Scripps Ranch, Hillcrest IS downtown!

Not that it helps the original poster, but Saigon on 5th, a half-block east of Golden Dragon is also open untl 3 now. They're both good options.

How late are we talking? Like late dinner? Or after the bars close?

Starlite is open until 2am with great food and drinks. It is by the corner of India and Sassafras.

Yep Starlight is a great option.

Modus serves late too, although I heard (don't quote me) they may be selling.

Harney Sushi serves pretty late too. They also have a cheaper late night menu.

Didn't Modus stop serving food a long time ago? www.modusbar.com is dead.

Confidential on 4th is great. The executive chef was on Top Chef this season. Good tapas style menu http://www.confidentialsd.com/
