It's my first time to Tacoma, and am looking for a fantastic seafood restaurant. Any recommendations?

For great seafood at an affordable price, Mexican-style, try

Vuelve a la Vida (5310 Pacific Ave, Tacoma)

Casual, great portions, and delicious. We especially love Friday nights.

QE, Tacoma has come a long way in the last couple of years, but "fantastic seafood" hasn't been achieved yet. Short list: The Tuna offering at Indochine on Pacific Avenue (not University Place) is Chow-worthy. At Sapporo Japanese in Fife, their soft shell crab appetizer is excellent as is their Red Snapper dish (along with their sushi--a bargain compared to Seattle.) A more earthy suggestion is the Catfish Dinner at The Southern Kitchen. If you go, order the collard greens as a side. If you are over 65 and die your hair blue, consider Harbor Lights. While it's not great, you won't know the difference.
