Sports Bars w/ good food in the Newton/Waltham vicinity.

ciaogal Oct 1, 2008 03:46 PM

I am coming in town for a family function the 2nd weekend in November.

I am looking for a sports bar that not only has good munchies...also had direct tv in which we will be able to watch the Pac-10 football games on Saturday.....
We are staying @ the Westin Waltham.....

Buff's Pub on Washington St. in Newton Corner has great Buffalo Wings (honey hots are best), other classic bar eats, a bunch of flatscreens, and reasonably priced beer on tap.

Buff's Pub used to be on my regular 'bar hopping' rotation....when I lived in the area!
      Thanks, for the tips!

Sadies in Waltham has some of the best steak tips around and has the NFL Sunday Ticket and the MLB Game Day Package. I'm not 100% sure NCAA package but if I was a betting man I'd say they do.

Halfway Cafe is 10-15 minutes away. Perfect spot for what you're looking for!

Don't know whether they have direct tv, but Shoppers Cafe on Moody Street in Waltham is a great sports bar with very good, very reasonably priced food.
