Any Hot Wings in the Valley... at all?

For the last several days I've had this intense desire for some really hot, but traditional, Buffalo style hot wings. Yet it seems there are none to be found west of Los Feliz. There used to be a place called West Coast Hot Wings on Reseda, but I've been told that they closed up shop a while back. Now it seems like Chili’s is my only option. Please say it aint so.

Are there any decent, "traditional", Buffalo style hot wings to be found in the valley west of Burbank?

  1. Rustic Inn in Los Feliz is still my #1, now for the Valley.

Some enjoy the wings at Ribs USA in Burbank, as of 2 weeks in being open we now have Big Wangs on Lankershim in North Hollywood and believe it or not I'm a big fan of the wings at Pick up Stix in Studio City on Laurel Cyn. its the only thing I would eat at that spot.

Give these a try and report back,

    Stuart

I second Stuart's first two suggestions -- Ye Rustic isn't in the valley but they have the top wings in the city, my opinion . . . and Ribs USA on Olive near Alameda in Burbank has pretty good wings but so-so BBQ.

I've been to Ye Rustic Inn many times and I agree that they are the best wings in LA, but for me Los Feliz is really a bit far. That's why I was hoping to find something in the Valley. Ribs USA's wings aren't bad, but they're not really Buffalo wings.

    2. Hot Wings Cafe in Glendale on Brand is pretty good. But I'll be honest, I've never had the hot wings...I'm a mild kind of girl. They do have fabulous zucchini sticks, though!

      1. Surprisingly enough, the Claimjumpers on Tampa in Northridge (by the mall) has great buffalo wings. We get them to go sometimes and enjoy them at home. You can get them mild, medium or spicy (we do spicy) and they come with blue cheese and celery sticks.

        1. Hoagies and Wings on Ventura west of Van Nuys but I haven't tried it.

          1. I haven't yet had a chance to try it, but I've heard good things about the newly-opened Big Wang's, on Lankershim south of the Red Line station in North Hollywood. (It's a branch of a place on Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood.)
