Hi All

Long time lurker, visited Montreal in June and followed Carswell's advice and went to ACP, superb meal and the service was the best I have probably ever had in a restaurant..simply outstanding. Anyway, back in Montreal in a few weeks and it's on the list, but I inly have one night..is it still going strong? I can't imagine they'd let it slip, but anyone been recently

Haven't been since the spring but friends who went in August were delighted. And the new fall menu has just been posted (September 30): lots of appealing options, new variations on old themes and the excellent last-of-the-season produce from one of their local suppliers, Persil Perlà organic farm.

Thanks for the heads-up. Reservation is made. Now, do you have any tips for the wine-list? I followed the advice last time and ordered a really really good Pinot for not a whole lot of $$$. I promise a full report in a few weeks. Thanks guys

Ran into some friends at a party last night who had gone to a5p for the first time last weekend. They loved it and spoke glowingly of the bavette (flank steak) with smoked meat cromesquis, the sweetbreads with veal brain and cheeks, and the special, which was some sort of fish. They also liked the wine selection -- short but smart, full of affordable bottles and glasses and constantly changing. Between my not having eaten there in several months and the resto's not posting its wine list online, it's hard to give you any recommendations beyond suggesting you place yourself in the hands of one of the two main front-of-house guys, Benjamin or Jean-Thomas, both of whom are wine lovers and very sharp when it comes to matching food and drink.

I was there towards the end of August and it was great. I was there, my first time, in June as well with my brother, and we ordered quite a few dishes, just to 'taste test' them ;) Everything was spectacular.
