Hi there,
I know in town there are many, many great restaurants, but, my husband is going to a Chicago trade show. ALL is right near the airport. Any food suggestions? Just to make it harder, vegetarian friendly? THANK YOU!

ORD, sorry, shows how much I know about it!

The Blue Line on the el (subway, also known as CTA - see www.transitchicago.com ) goes to O'Hare, and you can also pick it up at the Rosemont stop, which is at River Road, near a few of the hotels (e.g. Hyatt Regency O'Hare). He can take it to the Chicago stop (that's the name of the stop, named after Chicago Avenue) and then walk west a few blocks to Green Zebra. Green Zebra is run by acclaimed chef Shawn McClain and is almost entirely vegetarian. www.greenzebrachicago.com

Thank you so much! We actually went there our last trip to Chicago. Your dog is beautiful. My husband is in Chicago for the Pet trade show. Lot's of fun things!

Another place worth considering, and right off the Blue Line (at the Logan Square stop, between O'Hare and downtown) is Lula. It features local and seasonal ingredients. It's not strictly vegetarian but has some items on the menu that should satisfy vegetarians. www.lulacafe.com

My beardie says thank you. ;)

I'm not aware of good vegetarian choices, but if you eat fish and/or seafood, Flamingo's may be a very good selection.
