Birmingham - Break 'n Bread

Dax Sep 30, 2008 03:09 PM

Have any of you been to this event at Pepper Place (this Sunday)? I hear it's pretty good considering the cost and number of restaurants participating. Thoughts?

I went last year, and it was frickin' awesome. Definitely worth it.

Your ticket includes 2-3 drink tickets. I stuffed my face and walked out of the place with about 16 drink tickets that people had given me and that I couldn't give away.

I have been several years, and it really is a great event.

A word to the wise: In past years some restaurants have run out of food, so it pays to get there pretty close to the 1:00 start time.

I had never heard of this event (I'm about 90 miles away). Thank you so much for posting about it!

This is a great event, Dax, and a good chance to support our local restaurants and mingle with fellow foodies. If you can swing the VIP tickets, not sure how much they are this year, you get access to a covered tent, tables, and unlimited wine pours. It's worth it in my opinion if you plan to make an afternoon of it.

$75 or $70 in advance per the website. A little spendy but not overly ...

Anyone want to offer a trip report? I wasn't able to go this year, but would have liked to attend.
