I have a niece here and her birthday is October 30th, her parents are coming from Brazil, so i would like places nice for parents and young ( she is 21 years old) will be no more than 15 people invited.

Will a lot of your guests be of your niece's age? If so, you may consider Stanton Social which is very popular among college crowds. The decor is chic and modern and their food (contemporary small plates) is great for sharing.

I agree that Alta is great for group too, though I think Stanton Social is a bit more festive.

nope , we have all ages , her parents and friends, that's the hard part, try to find a place that fits to all hehheh. I will try to go to Stanton Social and Il Cantinori, I just love the small plates at Alta, i'm trying to find more restaurant like that.

Alta is a lot of fun. You'll have enough people to order the whole sha-bang which is one of everything on the menu.

we went to Alta yesterday was wonderful, i loved small plates. was full on monday night wowo... thanks we will be back there

Il Cantinori (Mexican on University Place (Downtown NYC) - it always feels like a party there and it's very festive. The food is great (I love their Cheese Enchilada's), their drinks are fun and the price is right!!! It's a great place for a crowd, and the service is super; they are VERY accomodating! Your Brazilian Family will love it!!!
