  1. I've been buying the whole smoked turkey from Milbree for over 10 years now. They'll even slice it and 'reconstitute' it in the original shape (for extra cost). Excellent quality. Haven't ordered a honey-baked ham.

Is that another name for Viking Deli? That place rocks. Great quality smoked items. The salmon is amazing. And so is the ham. I expect the turkey would be great.

    2. Try DSM Foods @ 905-738-0611. They are food brokers/distributors in Woodbridge who bring in lots of Kosher/non-kosher products in to Canada. They have Lesters meats and carry awesome whole smoked turkeys. They used to have a booth set up in Yordale when they had the urban market.,

      1. I've never had it, but recall that Lykn Chicken out near the airport will smoke a whole turkey to order. Here's the thread that talks about it:

Sorry, I just saw that you're also asking about honey baked hams. The best I've ever had is from the Honey Glazed Ham company (this is a local company, NOT affiliated with the franchise Honey Baked Ham in the States). It's become a staple for multiple holidays for me. The ham is just the right combination of a hint of sweet in the glaze and mild smokiness and saltiness. It's always lean and juicy, and the leftover bone makes a rocking split pea and ham soup!

You can order directly from them or from one of their many distributors (Sherwood Market and Summerhill Market are where I usually get them).

I just looked at their website and see that they offer smoked turkeys, too. Can't vouch for them, but you could kill two birds (or one bird and one pig) with one stone!

We always get our hams at Sherwood Market (I can't recall exactly, but I'm pretty sure they're from theHoney Glazed Ham Company), and they're excellent.

        2. You could try Whitehouse Meats in the St. Lawrence Market for both the turkey and ham.

          1. Lykn Chicken definitely does it -- and it's probably very tasty, because their smoked chicken sure is -- but it's a sweet style smoked barbeque with glazed with sauce, maybe not what you're after

I've ordered the whole smoked turkey a few times and there has never been any BBQ sauce on the bird. I suppose you could ask for BBQ sauce on the side if you wanted. Also, I’m 99% sure that Lickin Chicken would also smoke a ham for you.

Though, I’m really unsure if smoking a ham would work all that well in that type of smoker. I suppose it would depend on the size of the ham and if there is a bone-in or not. I’ll ask the next time I’m in. A nice ham bone makes great Pea or Ham & broccoli soup!

I’m sure BBQ sauce might go good for turkey sandwiches the next day with a bottle of beer.
