Making reservations for a non-Japanese speaker?

Hello! I will be visiting Tokyo alone for a week in mid-November. It will be my first trip to Japan. This board has been very helpful for getting restaurant recommendations and information. Since I do not read and speak Japanese, I really appreciated the discussion threads that addressed my concerns about ordering in a restaurant or finding one. Yet, I am still concerned about making reservations over the phone. Would I find it difficult to make a reservation in English?

Unfortunately, I do not have any contacts in Japan or friends who speak Japanese well. Also, my hotel does not offer any concierge services. So I will have to make the calls on my own.

I am especially interested in making reservations for Sushi Kanesaka, Sushi Saito, Sekihotei, and Mikawa.

I would appreciate any tips or advice. Thank you!
